Bryozoans - Archimedes sp.  

Offered here are some very good to excellent specimens of these desirable "corkscrews." These "moss animals" were aquatic organisms, living mostly in colonies of interconnected individuals, and date to the Mississippian period. These particular Archimedes specimens come from the Warsaw formation, Adams County, Illinois. All have been expertly prepared and make great fossil display pieces.
